Funding available thanks to Apollo

Apollo Grant supports water safety programme at Wai o Rua

Thanks to the awesome support of Apollo, we have $5,000 to distribute to central Taranaki education providers to help kids learn essential water safety skills.

Applications for the grant are open until all funding is allocated by April 2025.

Apollo Business Development Manager, Ian Ansell says, “At Apollo we are all acutely aware of the often-avoidable loss of life caused through drowning, which is at the forefront of our minds particularly over the festive/summer season. Swimming is a skill for life that not only saves lives but also allows positive life-long experiences in the water for health, wellness, and fun.”

“This grant aims to support community water safety initiatives to help groups that may not be able to afford them or have the opportunity.”

The Wai O Rua – Stratford Aquatic Centre is proud to be a part of this opportunity from Apollo to help our tamariki gain access to such a crucial life skill.
