Mānawatia a Matariki me Puanga! Happy Māori New Year!
On Friday 28 June, we celebrate the Māori new year (which we refer to as Puanga in Taranaki) with the Matariki public holiday. To help you with your planning, here are our facility hours for Wai o Rua on the day:
- Open 10am to 5pm
It’s our standard procedure to ask swimmers to leave the pool 15 minutes before our facility closes to give them time to get changed before we close up. We ask people to come back another day if they come in 30 minutes before we close, as it doesn’t leave enough time to swim. Please keep this in mind when you plan your visit.
